Clek takes your child’s safety seriously...very seriously! In fact, the Oobr uses a 5-Piece Elemental Safety System to help reduce injury in the event of a collision:


1. LATCH CONNECTORS:
A steel-base substructure integrates LATCH connectors on the rear of the booster. These simply clip to your backseat’s lower anchors for a secure fit with increased seat stability. This also ensures the booster won’t fly through the air if a collision occurs while the seat in unoccupied.

2. MAGNESIUM SHELL:
A high-impact, magnesium shell frame helps contain your child’s torso and keep them in place.

3. SIDLINGS:
The headrest comes with sidelings for containing the head. Metal posts limit the headrest from twisting as well.

4. EPP FOAM:
Energy-absorbing EPP foam is included in the headrest, arms rests, and bolster area.

5. BELT GUIDES:
Shoulder belt and lap belt guides allow for proper positioning when using the seat.

In addition to this unique safety system, the Oobr is also free of brominated and chlorinated flame retardants — their Mammoth and Railroad models are also free of any added flame retardants.

This is the base-level Oobr fabric. It uses sleek and soft OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 Certified fabric and is only available on the Railroad model. Jersey Knit Collection: The next step up is a lightweight polyester-spandex blend found only on the Carbon model.

PERFORMANCE COLLECTION:
C-Zero Plus Performance Fabric by Crypton® is split into two collections. This fabric is GREENGUARD Gold Certified and the best option for parents looking for durability and resistance to stains, moisture, and odours. Standard C-Zero Plus Collection (soft, terry-cloth feel): Snowberry, Prince Aura, 10 Year Blue

PREMIUM C-ZERO PLUS COLLECTION:
Thunder, Cloud, Pitch Black (smooth feel) / Marshmallow, Snow (plush, chenille feel)

PREMIUM COLLECTION:
The highest grade Oobr fabric is hypoallergenic and only found on their Mammoth model. It’s made with natural materials, using OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 Certified and ethically sourced non-mulesed Merino Wool. This is the only Oobr fabric geared toward temperature regulation and breathability.

WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT IT

EASY INSTALL:

WHAT WE WISH WAS BETTER

If there’s one gripe we have about the Oobr, it’s that it isn’t the easiest seat to clean.

While the Performance Collection fabrics have stain/moisture-resistant qualities, at some point, you’ll need to do a deeper clean. While the seat cushion is removable, it can only be hand-washed. For this we recommend grabbing the Crypton Fabric Cleaning & Stain Remover Kit.

Additionally, you’ll probably also need the Clek Mat-Thingy. This gets placed underneath the booster seat to avoid dangling feet muddying up the vehicle’s upholstery (which is pretty much a guarantee otherwise!).
