Calling all world travellers and urban city dwellers! Are you looking for a super compact, lightweight stroller to hop on flights and whip through the streets with ease? Well, look no further! The new and improved City Tour 2 from Baby Jogger is the ultimate compact stroller for parents on the go (or with limited space).

Ideal for apartment living, limited trunk space, or hopping in and out of planes, trains, and automobiles, the City Tour 2 is one of the lightest strollers by Baby Jogger and has a decent price point to boot!

Before we get carried away with how amazing this stroller is, let’s lay out the details so you can make the best decision for you and your family!

Ninja Maneuverability

THE SPECS:
  • Suitable For: Newborn (with infant car seat) to 45 lbs.
  • Stroller Weight: 14.3 lbs.
  • Assembled Dimensions: 38.8” H x 17.7” W x 35.8” D
  • Folded Dimension: 7.4” H x 19.4” W x 23” D
  • Front Wheel Diameter: 5”
  • Seat Height: 16.5”

At a mere 14 lbs., the City Tour 2 is the ultimate sidekick to all your city adventures. Whether you are hopping on and off the bus, hauling the stroller up and down apartment stairs, or jumping on a plane for all your family adventures, this stroller won’t feel like you’re lugging around a ton of bricks!

Tried and tested on a multitude of surfaces, the City Tour 2 is easy to push on surfaces like grass, gravel, and carpet. So, you can easily scoot around at the park, city trails, or the library without cursing the wheels of your little one’s ride.

It’s also a breeze to maneuver through tight spaces and narrow store aisles. You can effortlessly weave through all your favourite places without worrying about knocking everything off the shelves or waking your little one from their midday slumber.

Itty Bitty Compact-ability

Perfectly sized for travelling, the City Tour 2 has an ultra-compact fold for all your wanderlust adventures. It is 85% smaller when folded, making it super easy to store in cramped hotels or compact trunks without taking up all the space. You can also remove the wheels to fit the stroller into even tighter spaces!

With a fast, one-step fold and auto-lock feature, you can easily collapse the City Tour 2 and pop it in the included carry bag to easily transport it around. Folding the stroller takes a bit of getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it can be done with one hand. So, if you have your squirming babe or groceries in one hand you don’t have to worry about dropping them to wrestle your stroller into submission.

The City Tour 2 also meets Disney size requirements, so if you feel brave enough to take your kiddo on a magic carpet ride, you can bring along your City Tour 2 to weave through the crowds like a pro. Just remember to check overhead compartment restrictions, as the stroller may still be slightly too big for the overhead bin on some airlines.

Comfort Seating

The City Tour 2 is one of the only ultra-compact strollers with adjustable calf support for your growing babe. There’s nothing worse than your little one falling asleep in the stroller and having their legs dangling to and fro as you whip home to transfer them to their crib.

This stroller also features a multi-position padded seat that reclines with one hand to a near-flat position making it a million times easier for your little one to catch a snooze during your long, adventurous days on the road.

Once they are done napping, you simply use two hands to raise the seat back up, so your babe can take in the sights as you continue your stroll.

Canopy + Accessible Storage

When on the go, you want to ensure your little one has everything they need for the day. Most lightweight strollers host a storage basket with a 10 lbs. capacity, but the City Tour 2 can hold up to 15 lbs. underneath the seat. With front and rear access, you can easily pop in snacks, water, diapers and wipes, and a change of clothes without fearing the basket will bottom out from the stroller.

Since the storage basket is the only storage space on the City Tour 2, we recommend grabbing a Universal Parent Console for additional storage and accessibility.

This stroller also hosts a UV 50+ canopy with an extension panel and mesh window. You can keep your little one shaded from the sun while keeping an eye on them through the peekaboo window!

Travel System Ready

A step up from its predecessor, the City Tour 2 is designed with infant car seat compatibility in mind. Pair the stroller with a City Go Infant Car Seat and City Tour 2 Adapter to create an instant travel system. Using the City Tour 2 with an infant seat makes it newborn-friendly, so you can hit the road from day 1!

The Final Verdict

So, what will it be?! You’ve decided to pack your bags and hit the road, but you need a set of wheels to zip your little one through the crowds.

The Baby Jogger City Tour 2 is a higher-end, travel-ready stroller that is a world away from the flimsy umbrella strollers of the past. Its ultra-compact, lightweight features make it a top choice for travelling families and those residing in tight, urban spaces!
