Effective but pricey

I have this product in grey

and have used it both indoors and out. I wish it came with stakes for outdoor use

but these can be easily found at a hardware store. The mesh bottom makes it easy to shake out sand. I liked that this model has more windows and a double flap opening - one mesh and one covered.

I'm glad we got the larger size as I think it will increase the use we will get from it. Two toddlers can sit in it at one time

or one larger child can lie down.

I will say that it is a bit tricky to fold

and if done incorrectly

the bottom hoop can get a bit misshapen. There is a video available from Kidco to show you how to fold it and how to reshape it.

It is a fairly expensive product

and I'm not convinced we will get our money's worth on this one

but it does everything that it claims it will do.

Completely satisfied with this product

I purchased this product to use as a travel bed and sun shelter for the beach for my 6 month old. Thus far I really appreciate the quality and features of this product. The entire lower few inches of the tent is mesh to allow for more than adequate airflow which is wonderful [this mesh portion does not provide sun protection but I feel is an appropriate trade off for promoting temperature regulation inside the tent and minimizing the chance of an infant re-breathing his or her own carbon dioxide]. Tent pops open in a flash and is immediately ready for use. Folding the tent back into its carrying case presented a little more of a challenge but I figured it out within a minute or so :] My three year old loves playing in it and there is plenty of room for her to grow!

A great choice!

We bought this kidco peapod plus in lieu of another portable playpen/crib. We wanted something that would very easily pack up small. Our toughest decision was whether to get the smaller peapod or the larger one! Our little guy loves his tent

and uses it for play

and for a safe place to nap while visiting family. We look forward to taking it with us to the beach this summer as well!

Good for travel

I bought this for my 3-year-old to sleep in when we travel out of town to visit family. He likes sleeping in his 'tent'. I would have liked it to be a bit bigger. It says that kids can use it until age 6

but I think he will outgrow it well before then. It does fit nicely in my suitcase.

Home away from home for our kiddo

Our little guy loves sleeping in his \"tent\" when we're away from home. We bought it for a trip to Europe with our 1 year old

and it's one of the best kids' products we've ever purchased. We each carried a backpack for our trip

and the pea pod fit perfectly into our backpacks and hardly added any extra weight

for the amount of use we got out of it. And after practising a lot and multiple views of online tutorials

we've mastered the art of folding it up

which is tricky!

Very handy for international travel

Bought this item for my 2 year old to travel to the UK instead of a playpen for sleeping. Folds up light & small and my kiddo loved it. Will be using it again with the next baby at the beach and in the backyard to ward off mosquitos! The only downside is that one of the snaps holding the padding onto the underside of the tent has already ripped off

despite minimal use.

Good for travelling and outdoors

This travel bed is so easy to pack in your suitcase when travelling. It's even easier to set up and pack up. My son used it more as a play pen than as a sleep tent. Brought it to a picnic and the kids loved playing in it! The mesh kept it cool

the material makes it easy to clean and it's pretty spacious too.

Top Travel Gear

I recently purchased this for a trip we took that included a flight. As we were only able to check 2 baby items without paying extra

it was awesome to have a lightweight sleep option that I was able to fit in my suitcase & not have to chek as a separate bag. Setting up/packing up couldn't be any easier and my daughter slept very well in it!! The peapod is a definite must for any family who travels near or far!!

Overall pleased with product.

Purchased for temporary bedding when my grandchild visits. It also was great as an outdoor play area that protected him from the sun and insects. It folds and stores very compactly. I wonder if a small pop-up tent wouldn't work just as well and cost less.
