What does the Tog rating mean?

The Tog rating describes the warmth or "Thermal Resistance" of a product and is widely used to explain warmth levels of duvets. Latest advice from Health professionals is that Baby Sleep Bags should be ‘lightweight' and must be between 2.0 and 3.5 togs for temperatures between 10°C and 20°C. This is why our main range of Grobags are 2.5 togs for the recommended ideal nursery temperature range of 16°C and 20°C.

Product reviews

  1. star star star star empty_star 4.0 out of 5 stars

Good^ but not really necessary unless you're travelling somewhere hot

We bought this thinking we might need it for travelling and really hot summer nights [also because the pattern is adorable]. We have other GroBags as well

and feel the products are excellent. We really don't use it much

because once the temperature gets hot enough to use it [over 24 degrees celsius]

baby seems to sleep just fine in a super light sleeper and doesn't need a sleep sack at all. This one is also not as soft as the others we have

and if I were to buy again

I would get an extra 1.0 or 2.5 tog instead because they are more useful. That said

if you travel to hot places all the time and your kid really loves sleeping in one

it might be very useful for you.
