Great quality & security

We have 2 as we have 2 daughters 2 years apart. The seat is very comfortable, easy to convert/adapt, easy to remove the upholstery to wash. It is quite easy to attach in the car. Premium material and durable. It is a bit seat and heavy but I guess that is the price for comfort and security.

AWFUL!

This is the absolute worst car seat I have ever used. I’ve used the uppababy MESA infant seat and that was straightforward easy to use. Then we had the Britax clicktight - amazing! So easy to instal easy to clean etc. but when getting convertible car seats for our second car I liked the “3 across” feature of the diono. WHAT A MISTAKE! First of all you have to rethread the straps - I didn’t know what that meant, never having to have done it before, but wow. Second, you have this extra piece you add when forward facing, I don’t feel confident in my installation of this random extra belt, I want this made in a factory and put together so it will never come apart! (Not to mention the “safe stop” buckle I’m talking about actually came faulty for one of mine) Third of all, the installation into the actual car is brutal, we actually paid a professional car seat installer for the first time in 3 years just to do it because we could NOT get it in tight enough. Lastly, the cover literally says “easy remove cover” on it - are they joking? Like I said I have dismantled 2 other car seats to clean them multiple times (neither of which claim to be easy to clean) and this is the absolute worst by a long shot, and the manual is next to useless. To top it off I bought 2 of these at the same time - LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE, LOOK THE OTHER WAY! My husband will not let me live down this HORRIBLE decision

Amazing seat!!!!!

We love love love these seats!!!! So much that we have 4! They are long when in rear facing mode but the angle adjuster makes a HUGE difference (really it should probably be sold with the seat if you’re going to use it rear facing and don’t have a very large vehicle you will find you need one). My kids are so comfy and secure in these seats and I love the look. They’re relatively easy to install and I would say my kids are more comfortable in these seats than in other brands we’ve tried. I have 3 boys age 4, 2 and 7 months and I am so glad I invested in these seats for them. So happy to never have to buy another seat after the littlest one is transitioned to his Diono in the rear facing mode soon!

Narrow but long

We really like this car seat because it’s very narrow compared to most others. The back portion is very long however and does not work in all vehicles rear facing. We have it in my husband’s truck and it works great. It does not work well in my Rogue as it touches the front passenger seat when rear facing. Will be good when we can flip it around.

this thing is HUGE

this car seat is rediculously long. I have a jeep cherokee and have my passengers seat completely set to the front AND slanted forward. A passenger is not able to safely sit there so it makes family trips together impossible. I honestly have no idea what vehicle they had in mind when they made this rear facing mode. the piece that sets it into rear mode makes it so the car seat sticks out 2 inches further out - on top of the fact it is super long and the angle is not adjustable at all. hate buying in the pandemic because now we are stuck with this one

Alright car seat

We just purchased this car seat for our 14month old and due to the pandemic, we had to buy it without seeing/testing it in person. The make and quality of the car seat is good however this car seat is extremely heavy and is probably more suitable for SUV/Minivans. We have a Nissan Altima and so our backseats are slightly bit slanted which meant that we were unable to safely install this car seat rear facing (which our son is still suitable for the next 6-8months). The forward facing option is alright too for his size but we would have preferred to have him rear facing longer. Ensure to keep your car make/model in mind when choosing a seat like this.
