So happy with my choice
With so many monitors to choose from it's always difficult to make a decision but you won't be disappointed in this monitor. The larger screen makes it easier to watch the baby as well as the zoom feature on the camera/monitor itself. The sound is so clear and can pick up the tiniest noises your baby makes. I love that I can mount it on the wall above my crib and that I can move the camera side to side or up and down from the monitor. This monitor has so many features that I learn something new to do every time I use it, like the wakie talkie feature or the lullaby feature.

Poor quality and customer service from Motorola
I actually liked this monitor for its functionality, the distance you could take parent unit and video quality until it broke. After about 10 months parent unit stopped taking a charge. I called warranty and they advised it was in stock and I would receive replacement. Fast forward 10 days and nothing received I called to see status and monitor was out of stock and my order was not fulfilled as promised. Initially the only thing they said I could do was wait an unknown period of time until it was restocked in warehouse. After speaking with supervisor the only other option was to get a lesser unit (mbp 35) model or wait. So I have yet to receive a replacement and have been without a monitor for a month for my 11 month old. Do not buy this model unless you want to be without a monitor for an unspecified period of time.

Great monitor but a few things to consider
I love this monitor, it great image and sound quality and has many other great features aswell, but I was disappointed about a few things.

First, the battery for the monitor completely died and I had to contact Motorola and have a new one sent out. This was actually pretty easy to do and the customer service on the other end was great, but still a hassle none the less. We have not had another problem since the new one arrived. ***The failure of the first battery might relate to the fact that we were occasionally using our Samsung phone charger to charge the handheld while we were away on holidays, so always use the provided charger.***

Second , the camera is not battery operated so it needs to be charged at all times by power cord. This is only a problem when travelling or when you are hoping that your baby might take a nap in a safe outdoor location. Something to consider if you travel a lot.

Third, its range is great for everyday, but the monitor losses contact with the camera when we are too far away from our camera (ie. too far out in the back yard). Again, something to consider if you want to spend time outdoor when your baby is potentially napping inside.

Despite these potential issues I would still rate it at 4.5/5.
