When your child is ready to graduate to a booster, the high-back Monterey lets you make the transition with safety and comfort. The adjustable design accommodates a growing child up to 120 lbs and 63” tall. Deep, reinforced sides are lined with energy-absorbing EPS foam for side-impact protection. Easily increase the width of the expandable seatback to fit a child’s shoulders up to 20” wide, and adjust the 11-position headrest for a comfortable, custom fit. Optional use of the integrated LATCH connectors allow for a safe and secure installation in seconds. The reinforced seat bottom has extra length for leg support and features thick, AirTek™ foam and tapered sides for total comfort. Dual cup holders are extra-deep and angled to keep drinks upright. Monterey packs flat for travel and storage and can also be used as a backless booster.

I reviewed these car seats on the internet and this was rated one of the best in the US. I haven't used it yet as I purchased it for my granddaughter who is returning to live in Canada at the end of July. To me, it is important to have the safest one available. (Posted on 5/23/13)

I chose this seat because of the UAS system. The booster in our other vehicle was less expensive but is not UAS and I've never liked how sloppy it is on the seat.

Our 3 1/2 year old has fallen asleep in it a few times and it seams to support him better so his neck isn't quite as uncomfortable looking.

I like the height asjustment and apparent fabric quality and hope this is the last car seat I'll ever have to buy. (Posted on 4/7/13)

This seat seems to be working well for my 6-year-old. She can strap herself in easily and has often fallen asleep in this seat. In the middle of the 3rd row of our Sienna (there are only latches in the middle seat of the 3rd row in our 2011), the headrest is so enormous it blocks the majority of my view in the rearview mirror. If I didn't have 2 younger kids I'd put her in the 2nd row. If your child has flyaway hair you should know that the microfiber on the head rest gives some pretty serious static! (Posted on 1/23/12)
