How do you get your children to understand when it's time to get up? SIMPLE "stay in bed until you see the sun!"
This updated version of the Gro-clock uses fun images of the stars and sun to communicate when to go back to sleep and when it's time to get up. Due to popular request, this 2010 version of the Gro-Clock has a new feature allowing parents to choose whether or not to display the digital clock during the usual ‘stars to sun’ countdown. For older children, they can now start to learn digital time, as well as look for the arrival of the sun!
The Gro-clock helps to encourage children to stay in bed longer, which means more sleep for them and more sleep for you! "No more getting up at 5am!".

We bought this for our daughter when she was only 20 months old because we were expecting our second baby when she would be 22 months old and we wanted to have a head start on discouraging the early morning wake ups before the baby arrived. She seemed to understand in theory from the very start that the sun coming up meant time to get up but for the first while, she would still call for us and one of us would go in and sleep in her bed with her until the sun came up. We expected that, since she was still quite young and were happy to just teach her the concept of it and let her see us getting up when the sun came up.Value Quality Price
Now, 4 months later, she is 24 months old, has a 2 month old sister and she sleeps, like clockwork, until the sun comes up. Usually within a few minutes of that happening, she calls out (with much enthusiasm) "Mommy! Daddy! Sun come up!". I'm already thinking ahead to when the clocks change and how helpful this will be if we change the time of the sun coming up by just a few minutes everyday in the weeks leading up to the time change to help her adjust. Purchased this clock, with a healthy dose of skepticism. I was pleasantly surprised when it worked like a charm. Simple for toddler's to understand, it does exactly what it is supposed to. No more bags under my daughter's (or my!) eyes!Price Value Quality

i purchased this clock as a christmas present for my 3 year old, he would wake sometimes at 3am and refuse to go back to sleep saying he was "all done sleeping". we thought huh lets give it a shot! well it has been the best baby related purchase we have made. i could not live with out it now!! he still wakes at 3am but now knows that it is still night and goes back to sleep or plays quietly until the sun comes up. my daughter is only 7 months old but she will be getting one next year for christmas! My 2 1/2 yrs old son started waking up very early this past summer on those bright early mornings. I needed to find a way to get him to stay in bed until, at least 6:30 am. I researched online and read about sleep training clocks. I bought this one and it is great. It is now part of the sleep routine. Every night we say Good Night Mr. Sun, see you in the morning. He stays in bed until the sun appears on his clock! Works great! (Posted on 11/30/11)Price Value Quality - excellent product Review by tired mom

have been using this with my oldest (now 4) since he was 2. It has been awesome. He wither wakes up a bit before the sun comes out and stays quiety in his room or he wakes up and the sun is already up and comes into my room and says, "mommy the sun out. I can get up" (Posted on 9/2/11)Quality Price Value - We love our Gro Clock! Review by Sarah

We bought the Gro Clock for our 2 ½ year old and we’re thrilled with the product. After reading the included storybook to our daughter and showing her the star and sunshine she completely understood that she had to stay in bed until the sun came up. She was previously waking up around 6am and now we’re getting an extra hour of sleep. Even when she wakes up early she plays in her room or chats to herself until she sees the sunshine.Quality Price Value
The clock has two settings for nap and nighttime sleep. It’s easy to use, and I love that we can adjust the light on the clock so it’s not too bright in her room at night. Once she gets older we’ll be able to use the digital clock function and alarm; we thought the price was reasonable since she won't outgrow it.
