We received this Turtle as a gift and my son loves it - he is now 1yr old and falls asleep to the stars every night - loves the different colours and enjoys pressing the buttons on the turtle to turn on and off lights and change colours - so happy this was purchased for him! We use this every night at bed time and in the night if we have to go in. The different light colours provide different brightnesses of light so one is for going to sleep another for 'in the night' attention. Given it durability, usefulness and ability to provide such a soothing function at bed time, I couldn't disagree more that it is too expensive. Since we got the twilight turtle as a gift when my little guy was 2 yrs old, it's become an important fixture on his bed :) All the little ones who come to visit our house love it too - surprising, because it doesn't make noise or explode or anything!! Lol. Anyway, can't say enough about it, it's got a 45 minute timer so its on long enough for him to go to sleep but not all night. The stars are soothing and every night we play the "Where's the moon?" game. It's traveled out of country and survived just fine, the shell is nice and durable. (Posted on 3/30/12)Price Value Quality
