Love this car seat, easliy adjustable straps, easy to buckle him in, and very comfortable for our little guy to sit/sleep in while driving. Yes it does cost a lot but I would reccomend this car seat to any parent.....not to mention free shipping from snugglebugz was a big bonus, if we need another in the future I would get another, and I would get it at snugglebugz.ca (Posted on 3/28/12)Price Value Quality - Even the fireman agreed. Let's share an honest thought. Nine chances out of ten, you or your spouse have put plugs in outlets that baby wouldn't be able to reach if they where raised for Cirque Du Soleil. You've invested $45.00 in each one of the many safety gates which currently line your home, and household chemicals? Not even you can get to them with ease anymore. This all becomes necessary when you delve into thoughts of what may result from "safety slack" on your part. However, statistics create an immense contradiction to how parents view threats to their children. Take a second, turn over that piece of paper next to you, grab a pen and take this challenge. Write down all the safety devices you see on the following list which you have installed or implemented that come to your mind within the next minute. I'll wait..Price Value Quality
Excluding taxes:
Outlet covers - $2.00-$12.00 per package
Oven locks - $8.00-$12.00 per lock
Furniture/T.V/ computer straps - $4.00-$25.00 per strap & hook
Door handle deterrents - $3.00-$10.00 per package of 3-5
Spout covers - $5.00-$13.00 per cover
Cord shorteners - $2.00-$10.00 per package of 1-3
Safety gates - $45.00 + per gate
Corner cushions (or covers) - $4.00-$20.00 per package of 4
Bath water thermometer - $8.00-$25.00 per thermometer
Toilet locks - $9.00-$15.00 per lock
Cabinet locks - $3.00-$10.00 per package of 1-4
The list goes on, and on.. and on...
All necessary in individual situations, but let's look at the order of magnitude when spending on safety a little further down in my rant.
I am confident you get the idea. It is far from an inexpensive endeavour.
Although it varies for each individual's situation (home size, child's age, number of children, etc..) , to give you a gage, the average cost of baby-proofing a 2 bed/ 2 bath apartment in NYC is $500.00 - $600.00 USD. A 2-storey home in suburbia? A whopping $700.00 - $1200.00 USD. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but based on current statistics, this is the equivalent of wearing a helmet while walking your toy poodle. The likelihood of the worst possible outcome, which we all know to be looming in the back of our heads like a nagging headache, is virtually nil in comparison to the current leading cause of childhood mortality. No folks, it's not what you've spent a small fortune on. The real killer is automobile accidents. Out of an average 11,560 unintentional deaths in children, SIX THOUSAND-SIX HUNDRED-EIGHTY-THREE where motor vehicle related. Let's have a look at the amount caused by drowning, 1,056. Amount caused by poisoning? 972. Amount caused by means of fire or burns? 544. What about suffocation and strangulation? 1,263.
See where I am coming from? Baby-proofing a home is absolutely VITAL, don't misunderstand me, but at the same time, some prioritization is in order.
I was recently in an extremely serious accident. I hydroplaned coming down a hill on the highway, going under the speed limit may I add. The car (a 2008 Honda Civic) hit the guard rails, spun at 90 mi/h for 900 ft until the car was on teetering on the precipice of a steep embankment. The fireman who pulled me from the car looked my straight in the eye and said he was sure I would have died had it not been for the position of my body at the time of the crash. In the back seat, sat my Britax Boulevard 65, Cowmooflauge pattern. Although, thank God, it was unoccupied, the fireman proceeded to attempt to pull it from the car to recommend it be destroyed. He said words which decided my career of Engineering. "This is, hands-down, the best car seat and best installation i've ever seen. It's flawless. What agency did it for you?". My response, it was me. He didn't believe me until I went on a speel like this one, on how Britax has a true commitment to ensuring each child who is strapped down in one of their seats, will have the best chance of survival against THE LEADING CAUSE OF CHILDHOOD MORTALITY.
I am on my third Britax seat, I own two of their strollers, and get this, I'm not a mom. Or a Grandmother. Or an aunt. I'm a respite worker. I care for two precious little lives, 4 days a week, and fully realize that outlets need covers and stairs need gates, but before I spend $700-$1200 on plastic locks for my 1500 sq-ft home, I bought my Britax Boulevard, Frontier 85SICT, and Marathon Classic. Children rely on us to ensure their safety, and I would never, never trust their safety to any company but Britax. Peace of mind, comfort, and pride. That"s how these kids will always ride.
$299.99 / 6 year lifespan = $49.99 per year to have your child ride in a Britax. Even less still, if you decide on the Roundabout, at $199.99.
Britax is your child's best bet to beat the statistics. Don't let the upfront cost cloud your vision, you really do get exactly what you pay for.

Easy to install, my 3 year old and 1 year old both find them comfy and my one year old is still rear facing as well. I love that it clicks so I know it's tight enough and the clamps to click into the brackets are so easy to use. I feel that my kids are safe in these seats and have recommended them to all my friends with kids! (Posted on 1/9/12)Value Quality Price - Nothing better Review by Military Momma

Love this carseat. It is wide and takes up a bit of space in our SUV, but that is the only downside to this amazing carseat. Well worth the price. Our child is safe and comfortable. It's easy to get the seat in and out of the SUV when needed. The straps don't twist like some other carseats and the straps adjust easily. (Posted on 1/4/12)Price Value Quality - Excellent Carseat! We did a fair amount of research and Britax seats just come up better than most - bottom line! We've been using it for about 5 months now and we really like it, as does our daughter. We have just tried forward facing as well and it is quite secure and easy to get in and out of. Well worth the extra money. This is a fantasic car seat. When I was doing my reasearch for my 1 year old now almost two. I found out that Britax does not recycle their plastic. Basically the extra plastic they don't remelt to make another car seat. This ensures your car seat is nice and strong to keep your baby safe in a collision.Quality Price Value
Okay now the good stuff. My son falls asleep in it all the time, the cover comes off so you can wash it. It's really sturdy when you compare to Graco, Safety 1st, Eddie Bauer. Just no comparison to those brands. I will only stay with Britax for my son's safety.
PS - You can get a great deal on this car seat at year end when last years models are on sale!!! That's how I saved on mine. (Posted on 9/28/11) - Fantastically easy to use and very safe. Review by Boothster

Although this is a pricier car seat to most, it is amazingly loaded with safety features. We bought one for our 1yr old who had out grown her baby seat and we are so impressed with it we are getting a second for our eldest child. The quality and safety features are far superior to likes of Graco and Eddie Bauer. Easy to fit and use our little can't stop falling asleep in it! (Posted on 9/16/11)Quality Price Value
