I can hardly believe that our Snuggle Babies are turning into “Snuggle Kidz”!
We have successfully completed our first couple weeks into a new school year, which has been a particularly exciting time as our oldest son has started Grade 1! For an “active” little boy, all day every day in a classroom is a huge accomplishment! Starting French Immersion, and coming home with phrases like “Sure le tapis” and “If fait beau”, make this mamma so proud!
Snuggle Kid #2 has started JK! She is so excited to finally be a “big girl” and go to school all day, as she says, “All by myself”! She has started to love playing with her new friends, and asks every morning if this day she gets to go to school.
Although it is sad to watch them grow up so fast, it is amazing to watch my babies turn into little people, maturing and becoming independent.
I LOVE the Bob Strollers. I have had my Bob Revolution for a couple years now and have loved it since the day I brought it home. I was heading to the cottage, and I couldn’t imagine taking any other stroller to cottage country’s rocky roads. I would settle the kiddos into the stroller (back in the day when there were just two Snuggle Kidz) and go for long walks, although I do clearly remember telling myself that I HAD to have the Bob so I could jog for the week. Well, out of pure laziness I didn’t actually go jogging…. but we did have many berry finding, turtle gazing, rock skipping adventures while on our lazy walks.
I was reminded today when our family decided to go to the Maple Syrup Festival , how much I truly enjoy pushing this stroller. As I saw many people struggling to get through the muck pushing their strollers, I moved through the entire area, mud, slush and snow with ease. I was also able to fit through the doorways to the pancake house, which answers the regular question I get, on if it actually fits through doors. Yes it does!
But… the most exciting part of this post is that Bob has released a new stroller this year. Well, not a new stroller but they have taken their current series of strollers and improved on them incredibly!! All the little things that I thought,” this stroller is great, but wouldn’t it be better if……. “
- They have created a much improved car seat adaptor (old one was a 30 step process to build!)
- They have added significant padding, along the back, in the seat, and even along where your child’s calves touch
- They have also added a board that gives increased support in the back of the seat.
All of this while keeping their already top features, huge canopy, great suspension, swivel front wheel that can be put into a locked position, and so on.
So, if you are looking for a great stroller, whether you are looking for jogging or just one of the best all terrain strollers, you will not be disappointed with the Bob series.
I know my husband.. he pushes himself ALWAYS. He is the most driven, hard working person I have ever met. He is always looking to improve, always looking to get another step further, he is consistantly in competition with himself.
So, why was I surprised when my 4 year old S Bear decided to tackle water sports this summer with the same drive? It wasn’t good enough to try waterskiing on his Kidz learner skiis. He was bored of that quicker than we imagined. He then decided to try carving, maybe crossing the wake, jumping over the little waves approaching from other boats.
It didn’t stop here, and this is when proud mamma bear steps in grinning from ear to ear about how awesome her son is. (Bragging about our kiddos is just part of being a parent right?) S Bear, then decides that all the big boys (daddy and friends) are surfing behind the boat, so why can’t he? Of course we tell him to grab Uncle C’s board and lets go. So again, why was I surprised when he got on the board, boat started, and he stood right up!! He stood right up, and went around the bay balancing like a pro!!
I can only imagine what 15 will bring and how he will be pushing his athletic ability, until then, I am the proud mamma of the 4 year old surfing behind the boat!!
I am a Daughter, Sister, Friend, Christian, Teacher, Car Seat Technician and….
I am a Wife, we just celebrated our 9th anniversary! We have been married for 9 years, together for 10 years, and are having an amazing journey together. I am always learning more about myself, and Dear Wonderful husband each day, which makes this marriage more fun each and every day. I know that sounds very “cheese ball”, and I do know that marriages take a lot of work, but there’s nobody else I would rather do this with!
I am a Mom! I have 3 incredible children S Bear, Little A and Baby V! All are no more than 2 years apart and I wouldn’t change the chaos in my life for anything. They are incredible children, and of course being the proud Mamma bear that I am, can’t even remember what life was like BK (Before Kidz).
S Bear has the most tender, beautiful heart, he is sensitive and kind, and a complete monkey. He loves to socialize and is often found running out onto the front porch to invite anyone over for supper, apparently the table can never be too full…and therefore he is the organizer of many impromptu suppers with the neighbourhood kidz (I love every second of it)!
Litte A is the family comedian, with a sparkle in her eye that can win anyone over! She is totally “girlie”, insisting on nail polish, asking for earings, and dressing up like a princess at every opportunity. She of course is a spitting image of “Rella” (aka Cinderella) and insists that nobody else is a princess but herself. One of her first words was “shoes” which basically means we are in for a lot of “trouble” with a capital T!! Although she insists on all these wonderful cute “girlie” things, she is also tough enough to keep up with big brother!!
Baby V, is of course the baby of the family. Big sis and brother adore her. I love catching them in moments when they are taking care of her. For Little A, sharing her “cozy”, which is her favourite blanket, with Baby V is the ultimate form of affection, while S Bear sits and talks to her in his sweet high pitched baby talk voice. We are still learning so much about sweet Baby V, but for now her newborn little personality says “mellow-jello”, she could sit forever watching and crawling after her siblings, unfortunately usually by the time she reaches them, they are turning around and running in the opposite direction.
I am a Business Owner, mompreneur of sorts. I am the owner of a baby store that is the source of lots fun in my life. Take for instance the product testing! I take home as much as possible to test with my kidz so I can give an honest, genuine opinion to customers when they ask! I Love shopping, I get to go to buying shows and personally select all the products we carry in the store. And everything comes back to family…because this is a family run business we are fortunate enough that we can have either my husband or myself at work, while the other is at home with the kidz! There’s a lot of great quality time we get to spend with them!!
And now I get to add to my list… I am a Blogger! This is a blank screen and a fresh start to a whole new chapter in my life, and I am excited to begin! So jump on board and join me in this new adventure!
Since this is our first time together, let’s chat… let’s get to know each other a bit better, and pretend we are just hanging out in my backyard watching the chaos of my kidz running around as we have a drink, a snack (because I am always all about great food) and enjoy some adult conversation, of which I get far too little of!
Hmmm, so who am I? Sometimes it is easier to start with who I am not. I am not witty, (although at times I find myself quite funny). I am not a person of many words, I pretty much say what I want, and not a whole lot more! I am not an expert on raising YOUR children, what I am is an expert on mine, I know what makes them happy, what is going to put them into a full tantrum and best of all what is going to put a smile on their faces that light up the entire room sending them running for hugz and luvz.
What I am is a passionate person, most decisions are made with my heart, and I am completely emotional, whether that be overly excited emotionally for a friend or myself, or incredibly crushed and sad over my child having hurt feelings.
I am a passionate mom, I am passionate about my kidz lives and trying to help them become incredible people. I am honest and genuine and throughout this blog I will share with you what is really happening in my life (oh my, are you ready for this???), the great things that are happening with my kidz and the things that are just driving me into a passionate crazy!
Welcome to the view from here… and take a peak into my life with kidz.
