Baby must-haves for Summer Vacation!

Something about school being out makes summer official.  Who doesn’t love summer? Some of my fondest childhood memories are packing up the camper and heading up North.

Adam (hubby) and I have carried on the tradition and fill our summer holidays with as many camping trips as possible. Now that we have added kids to the mix packing has become more of a week long process – lists with baby items, toddler stuff, beach necessities, grocery list, clothes, etc….Lots of work but totally worth it! :)

A couple must-haves for us are:

- The peapod (transportable bed that folds nearly flat and can be used on the beach or as a portable bed). This was our ‘I can’t live without this item’ from our family Florida trip this past April. It is the perfect spot to put sleeping babe down at the beach – it has mesh windows that are UV protected and keeps your little one nice and breezy. Also loved it to do diaper changes without Myles’ getting covered in sand….we all know how easy it is to get sand out of baby rolls ;)

-  The Sound Sleeper (aka: white noise machine). We bought this last summer after our first camping trip was a major failure. Kellan would not sleep in a tent. Out of desperation we made this purchase in order to catch some winks (we were sick & tired of driving around the campground at 3 am in order for him to sleep). Anyway, the sleep machine plus a borrowed camper worked like a charm dream. I love the sound sleeper so much we have used it every day & night since! It has become one of my mommy must-haves that I recommend to anyone who covets her sleep (yup! That would be you!) Gotta love ‘sneaky good products’ – an item you buy and don’t expect great things but surprisingly it becomes your favourite!!

What are your summer vacation must-haves?? With the summer underway, we will be heading up North and I would love to test some items and report back! :)

I am planning to test out the Go-Pod by Kidco. I love their products so I am looking forward to testing this one out with mister Myles. I think it will be perfect to bring to the beach – I will let you know if it’s on the ‘love it’ baby list!

About Lydia

My name is Lydia and I am a momma (still can’t believe that)! My husband and I recently upgraded to be a family of four. We have two precious boys- Kellan (a chatty 2.5 year old) and Myles (a feisty 8 month old)- life sure is busy but we wouldn't change it for the world! I have been working in the baby industry for the past 5 years so when asked if I would be interested in doing some product blogging while on mat leave I couldn’t resist! I am hoping to help all the mommas (& dads) out there who want honest, reliable information in the crazy world of baby products- enjoy! check out my blog at http://itsmommyapproved.blogspot.ca/

We have both the PeaPod and the GoPod…love them both! We have done some camping as a family and took both products which made life a lot easier.

Really that was good product for babies. My wife is using Peapod and the Gopod for our little baby. These are soft or easily to used for babies.

I have never listened about this pea pod. Really these items are the most necessary items needed when a baby is going on a summer vacation.
