BRITAX ADVOCATE 65 CS
The BRITAX ADVOCATE 65 CS convertible car seat is designed for children rear facing from 2.3 to 18.1 kg (5 to 40 pounds) and forward facing from 1 year and 9.1 kg up to 29.5 kg (20 lbs up to 65 pounds). The ADVOCATE 65 CS achieves revolutionary head safety through the use of patent-pending BRITAX SafeCellTM Technology, integrated steel bars, and Versa-Tether that work together to minimize head excursion and reduce the risk of head injury during a frontal impact. The ADVOCATE 65 CS also incorporates energy-managing Side Impact Cushion™ Technology, significantly reducing incoming side impact crash energy by diverting crash forces away from the child. It is also equipped with BRITAX True Side Impact Protection®, HUGS™ and a Click & Safe® Snug Harness Indicator. It also features a five-point, no-rethread and quick-adjust harness, multiple buckle and recline adjustments, and a body pillow for comfort. An easy access cover and access to belt paths from the front of the seat make it easier to install.

- SafeCell™ Technology features SafeCells designed to compress in a crash, significantly lowering the center of gravity and counteracting the forward rotation of the child seat which normally propels the child toward the front seat
- Integrated Steel Bars strengthen the connection to the vehicle and reduce forward flexing of the child seat during a crash
- Patented, Energy-Absorbing Versa-Tether® features a staged-release tether webbing to slow the forward movement, reducing the crash forces reaching the child, and a two-point attachment to minimize forward rotation while anchoring the top of the child seat

This is my second child and love this seat over the one I had for my now 9 yr old.Price Value Quality
My daughter looks so comfortable in it and not all squished up like in the infant seat.

We purchased this seat when my daughter was 6 months old. She is a larger baby and grew out of her other seat quite quickly. I loved the patterns offered by Britax; I also liked the safety features.Price Value Quality
Upon installing it in the car it actually fit well into our Jeep (our back seat is not that spacious) in rear facing mode. It is sometimes a bit tricky to get the baby in the seat because of the extra padding/air bags on the side. The buckles have velcro so they stick onto the side and you don't have to fish them out from under your baby. I removed the pads on the straps as I found they were a bit bulky (esp. with the colder weather and more clothing on baby). The Click and Safe feature is OK but not ideal. I had to adjust the straps several times even when it "clicks" that it's tight enough. My favourite features is the no re-thread and quick adjust harness; you don't have to take the seat out to readjust everything!
In retrospect I might have gone for the less expensive Britax models but I still really like the Advocate.
